Whole Body Hyperthermia
During whole body hyperthermia, the whole body with the exception of the head is overheated. In our office we use water-filtered infrared lamps with a high atmospheric humidity to generate heat. The body reaches temperatures between 39.5 ºC and 40.5 ºC.
Our patients experience whole body hyperthermia in a particularly beneficial, integrated and healing environment. After a preparation period of approximately half an hour, the actual fever therapy begins, lasting for around two and a half hours. The patients receive comprehensive care, with monitoring of their body functions, throughout the treatment. Strengthening ayurvedic teas and a fortifying natural beverage are available. The subdued lighting, relaxing music and soft color hues of the new office rooms have a soothing effect on mind and body.
After the heating phase, the patients enjoy a period of rest in this environment, during which their fever abates. They receive oxygen for stabilisation, and can recuperate through meditation. The office team takes care of the patient's well-being throughout the entire treatment and afterwards too, as telephone support is provided for all queries relating to the hyperthermia.
In our experience, whole body hyperthermia is particularly effective for inoperable tumor and metastases, and for frequently recurring tumor types. However, it is also used for limited tumor onsets. We have successfully used whole body hyperthermia in our office for breast cancer, sarcomas, skin tumors as melanomas, bone metastases as well as carcinomas of the lung, the stomach, pancreas, the gallbladder and kidneys.
